Trustees Report 2023
I want to thank the Trustees; Donna Fingland, Elaine Phillips, Richard & Sherron Howland, Charles Burtch, Kathy Herb and Don Day for all the hard work they did for the benefit of our church. This year is my last year as Chairperson of the Trustees. Due to my declining health, December 31, 2023 was my last time to serve. What an honor it has been these past years. So many changes and repairs and enrichments to our church have taken place. I’m going to list all that I can remember. I hope none will be left out. Our trustees are great stewards of the church’s assets.
~Accomplishments ~
- Church painted outside
- Parlor, kitchen and bathroom painted
- Parlor wood ceiling cleaned and polished
- Parlor wall repaired
- Front Sidewalk repaired
- Front stairs repaired
- Both sets of church step railings painted
- Crushed stone added to fill potholes in the church parking lot
- New Boiler & Fire Alarm systems …Our boiler & Alarm systems passed inspection every year
- Church cleaned from top to bottom twice a year
- Our Church passes the Health Department’s inspections every year
- Sanctuary light bulbs replaced with LED bulbs
- Church sign rewired and LED bulbs installed
- LED Spotlight, with photo auto-eye, installed for our Flag
- Steeple totally restored top to bottom
- New deck on the Schoolhouse
- All new gutters and down spout
- Roof replaced on the Schoolhouse and over the office of the church
- Prayer & Memorial Garden completed. The dedication of this Sacred Space was on September 28, 2023
- New septic and leach field
- New filtration system for our water
Just look at the above list. Thank you, fellow trustees, and a major thank you to all those who work hard and give generously to make it possible for the trustees to do their work.
